A smoothly enjoyable, entirely predictable, ride. From about page 30 on, I more or less knew how the story was going to go. A couple of times, I thought maybe the plot was going to deviate from the expected path. It didn’t and that was fine, anything else- unless terrifically unexpected and clever – would have been a cop-out. There were no great emotional highs or lows here, and no surprises. In short, it was a pleasantly written book that I enjoyed reading very much, but sadly, didn’t rock my world.
